Wars in the South Caucasus and the Middle East Are Also About Trade Corridors

"The tension in the South Caucasus region is really extremely explosive. So much so that hostilities can begin any day, — says the political scientist. — The country's army is in full combat readiness, and society is more united than ever."

Commenting on the resumption of anti-Iranian sanctions by the European "troika" (Britain, France, Germany), the interlocutor noted that the current situation once again showed that the sanctions made it possible to achieve economic and technological security.

In the current situation, Tehran is even more actively developing projects with Russia and China, with the BRICS and SCO countries, forming its own alternative trade logistics systems. However, sanctions against Iran are both strikes on Moscow and Beijing. This, first of all, is the reason for the condemning statements of Russia and China at the UN Security Council.

It becomes clear that Tehran is by no means alone in the new architecture of the world. That attempts to isolate Iran from the West have the opposite effect — the process of integration of the East as a whole is intensifying, Muazzi is sure.

Over the past 40 years, the Islamic Republic of Iran has already been able to prove that it is able to live and develop under Western sanctions. So the sanctions of the "European troika" do not scare Tehran.

Official Yerevan should proceed with caution

Now, according to the journalist-political scientist, many in the world community are simply unable to understand one simple thing: at the current stage of civilizational development, the cause of many wars is not ideological or political differences. Now everywhere there are wars for corridors, a new world order is being formed, in which the leaders will be those countries that control global logistics routes.

Whether in the Middle East, Eastern Europe or the South Caucasus, wars are raging everywhere, and they are all fundamentally about global trade corridors. And Iran is no exception in this regard. He is also making efforts to take his rightful place on the geopolitical map of the world in the new world order. And he tries to develop the logistics areas under his control as much as possible, he said.

It is in Iran's interest for Armenia to be in a strong position. And in the current realities, Yerevan, according to the political scientist, should act cautiously, without the right to the slightest diplomatic blunder. Otherwise, you may lose the chance to take a worthy place in this new world order.

Against this background, Muazzi recalls that Iran has its own alternative to the so-called "Zangezur corridor". And this corridor, which will soon be launched, is able to neutralize all regional contradictions. Its construction began under former Iranian President Raisi, and it will soon be launched.

Iran's main goal is to expel all external forces from the South Caucasus

As for the situation in the region, one thing should be recognized: a lot also depends on Turkey's position. They cannot fail to understand that everything in the South Caucasus is interconnected. For example, the defeat of Iran in the war with the West has a negative impact on Turkey. Conversely, any Turkish crisis will definitely affect the Iranian bridgehead, Muazzi said.

"Unfortunately," he continues, "a certain part of the Turkish elite does not care about this. On the contrary, the American military base located in Turkey was very active during the 12-day war, transmitting the relevant intelligence to the Zionist regime (of course, through the United States). Tehran will in no case turn a blind eye to this, since it is a matter of national security."

As for the main geopolitical goal of Iran in the South Caucasus, it is the expulsion from the region of all external Western forces without exception. This is what the spiritual leader of Iran, Ayatollah Hamanei, said after the assassination of General Qassem Soleimani.

Regarding Azerbaijan, Mouazzi notes, one thing should be taken into account: Tehran has repeatedly stated that it does not interfere in the contacts of its neighbors with other states. However, Israel is doing everything possible to bring a crisis to the relations between the two countries and try to unleash a permanent war in the region. Therefore, Iran does not intend to joke with anyone in matters of national and state security.
